Fresh off the heels of releasing the generation-leap Burgman Street 125, Suzuki Motor Corporation has thrown down the gauntlet yet again. Taking the wraps off its newest family member, the Japanese two-wheeler giant officially debuted the all-new Suzuki Burgman 150 (christened the ‘Burgman 15’ in select international markets).
This isn’t just a 125cc scooter with a bigger bore; it is a full-blown, heavy-duty maxi-scooter armed with serious performance, motorcycle-grade safety electronics, and aggressive styling. Here is everything you need to know about Suzuki’s latest heavyweight contender.
A Bold, Muscular Presence
At first glance, the Burgman 150 makes its intentions perfectly clear: it wants to dominate the road. While it retains the signature maxi-scooter silhouette of the iconic Burgman family, the 150cc iteration dials up the aggression to eleven.
The front fascia is bulky and imposing, featuring a complex, split dual-chamber LED headlight matrix centered around a sharp projector setup. Topping off the front end is a dark-tinted, aerodynamic windscreen that promises proper wind deflection for highway cruising.
Unlike the flat floorboard profile of the smaller Burgman Street, the Burgman 150 moves to a step-over frame configuration with a prominent central spine. This design allowed Suzuki to relocate the massive 8-liter fuel tank lower in the chassis, improving the center of gravity while liberating a cavernous 25-liter under-seat storage area capable of swallowing a full-face helmet and a backpack with room to spare.
